who are active in the Northern York Area.
We believe that all people have a right to clean air, pure water, and to the preservation of the natural, scenic, historic and aesthetic values of the
environment. Pennsylvania's public and natural resources are the common property of all the people, including generations yet to come.
We believe that everyone is entitled to adequate public facilities these include but are not limited to
WATER, SEWER, FIRE, POLICE, EMS, TRANSPORTATION and SCHOOLS.

4-40gl bgs (mostly beverage containers & plastic grocery bgs)
2 tires w/ rims (one to be retrieved –  set aside along bank)
Total pounds: approx 250#’s

Day Two: Mumper Lane to Ore Bank Road
5-40gl bgs (mostly beverage containers & plastic grocery bgs)
1 race car tire & one swing set (to be retrieved – tire set aside along bank/swing in logjam)
Total pounds: approx 200#’s


Day Three: Ore Bank Road to Chestnut Grove Road
(still to do –estimates for report, based on property owner survey)
Dumpsite reported – coke machine among debris
Anticipating 4 bgs from watershed in addition to dumpsite cleanup to exceed 500#’s
- will report as soon as completed (planned to complete by May 30)


CCSG also coordinated a planting of 40 trees at Coover Park along Dogwood Run on May 17th:
South Mountain Elementary K-Kids Club (Kiwanis) provided 12 volunteers.  
Trees donated by York County Conservation District.

Approx. 500 lbs:  50# SCRAP METAL & 34 bgs of trash collected from:

Ore Bank Rd, Golf Course Rd, Chestnut Grove Road,  Fishers Run,
Retention Pond & Field @/behind Rt15/GIANT Center, Rocky Ridge
Rd on North Branch Bermudian creek.

Municipalities: Carroll Township and Franklin Township
On Thursday, April 19, ten staff members from Messiah
College participated in the 2007 Great PA Clean Up
effort in Carroll Township.  The volunteers covered
nearly 5 miles of roadways and collected a total of
twenty-seven bags of debris, including eleven of
recyclable materials.
